In addition to KL Rahul, another Indian cricketer, Shardul Thakur, is slated to get married in February 2023. The fast-bowling all-rounder is set to wed his longtime girlfriend Mittali Parulkar.
Hindustan Times captured Parulkar, Thakur’s fiance, as saying that the couple had set their wedding date for February 27, 2023. Wedding preparations for the Thakur and Parulkar families will begin on February 25.
Who is Mittali Parulkar?
Shardul Thakur’s fiancee, Mittali Parulkar owns and operates a popular line of baked goods. Mittali added that the wedding would have between two hundred and two hundred fifty people and that she, not Shardul, is in charge of the event because he has a “full” schedule (he is on playing duty till February 24) and will only attend the wedding on the first day. In 2021, the year before, the couple became engaged.
Karjat, a city close to Mumbai, will serve as the setting for the nuptials. The soon-to-be-wed lady also disclosed that Goa was considered as a potential wedding venue, but the couple ultimately opted against it due to logistical concerns.
There will be modern touches added to the traditional Maharashtrian wedding. As of the right moment, Mittali is wrapping up the design team. In the major wedding ceremony, she plans to wear a “nauvari” saree. In addition, she declared that she would be providing the wedding cake herself.
Thakur, affectionately known as “Lord” by cricket fans, is a member of the Men’s International Cricket Team and was recently traded to the Kolkata Knight Riders from the Delhi Capitals for the upcoming 2023 season of the Indian Premier League.
