Former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar has bashed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for bringing in “average players” in the team, after the Pakistan team gave, yet another disappointing performance against New Zealand in the second Test at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch.

Pakistan was bowled out at 297, following which NZ skipper Kane Williamson registered his fourth double century in Test. It helped the NZ team stich 659 runs before declaring the innings. Pakistan now trail the match by 354 runs.

The disappointing performance by the Pakistani team has brought out the Rawalpindi Express’ frustration.

“PCB’s policies, they keep bringing in average players, they keep playing average players, they keep making average teams and will keep doing average work, leading to average results,” Shoaib said in the video.

“Whenever Pakistan will play Test matches, they will be exposed,” he added.

“They are playing school level cricket,” Shoaib said criticizing the performance of Pakistani players.“And the management has made them school level cricketers.

“Now the board are thinking of again changing the management. Fine, but when will you change?”
