SKN vs GUY: The 7th match of the CPL 2022 is scheduled to be played between St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots and Guyana Amazon Warriors at Warner Park. St. Kitts lost their first game at the hands of Jamaica Tallawahs by 47 runs, while their second game got washed out due to rain.

Heading into their next game, St Kitts would be desperate for a win. In their first game, Jamaica Tallawahs had set a target of 183 runs in the first innings. The defending champions don’t have the best of the bowling line-ups and thus the likes of Dwayne Bravo, Pretorius, and Jaggesar need to step up to the plate and deliver match-winning performances going ahead in the tournament.

In pursuit of the total, St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots could only manage to score 136 runs in the second innings. They had a stellar batting line-up but none of the batters had a great outing with the bat. Both the openers, Andre Fletcher (31) and Evin Lewis (4) failed to hit the straps. The middle order, comprising the likes of D Brevis (14), Darren Bravo (1), and Dwayne Bravo also returned with disappointing numbers.

Sherfane Rutherford looked good for his 33 off 22 balls but lacked support from the other end. Heading into the next game, St. Kitts would be looking to prove a point. Facing them are Guyana Amazon Warriors, who too have started on a disappointing note.

Guyana Amazon Warriors batted first in their first game against Jamaica Tallawahs. The Warriors could only manage to score 142 runs in the first innings. They endured the worst possible start as the likes of Sterling (1), Hemraj (2), and Shai Hope (25) all got out with low returns.

Hetmyer (39) and Shepherd (36) stitched a good partnership but both failed to convert that start into big scores. For them to win the game, the openers must start strong. Guyana’s batting too looks pretty solid but how they implement their plans on the field will be there to be seen.

With the ball, the onus for picking the bulk of the wickets will be on the shoulders of Imran Tahir and Tabraiz Shamsi. The fast bowling duties will be shared by Shepherd and Odean Smith.
