Young Sri Lanka fast bowler Shehan Madhushanka has been detained by the police for supposed possession of heroin, the news got the spotlight on Monday, May 25. The fast bowler was reported to be carrying over two grams of illicit drugs when his car was stopped in the town of Pannala by the police.
Madhushanka became talk of the town when he claimed a hatrick on his ODI debut in Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh in January 2018.

The 25-year-old also played two other T20s on the same tour but hasn’t represented the nation since.
The young cricketer who was arrested on Saturday was produced before the Pannala magistrate the following day and will now spend 14 days in remand prior to him being presented before the High Court. Sri Lanka Cricket is believed to be notified about the same and an official statement can be expected shortly.
