SS vs MS: The 15th match of the Big Bash League 2022 will have Sydney Sixers take on Melbourne Stars on Sunday at Sydney Cricket Ground. The Sixers haven’t had a great season so far. In 3 matches, they have only managed to secure a solitary win.

However, that win came only in the last match. The Sixers amassed 137 runs in 14 overs and then restricted Hurricanes to 131, thereby, winning the match by 6 runs. The top-three batters comprising Kurtis Patterson (38), Phillippe (43) and Vince (19 off 15) made substantial contributions with the bat.

With the ball, Hayden Kerr and Sean Abbott managed to pick two wickets each. Jordan Silk is, currently, the top run-scorer for Sydney Sixers with 77 runs at a strike rate of 135.

With the ball, Izharulhaq Naveed has led the way with 4 wickets at an average of 11 and an economy of under 6.

On the other hand, Melbourne Stars are currently sitting sixth on the table, having managed to secure 1 win in 3 matches. The Stars are coming on the back of two consecutive losses and would be looking to come back to winning ways.

They suffered a 61-run defeat at the hands of Perth Scorchers in their last match. The Scorchers put on a massive score of 229 runs as Stars were left clueless as what to bowl to the batsmen.

Luke Wood did manage to pick up 5 wickets but conceded 40 runs in 4 overs. The other bowlers didn’t make any impression with the ball.

In pursuit of the total, the Stars did put in some fight but it was too big a total to chase. Beau Webster top-scored with the bat as he amassed 43 runs in 32 balls, while Nick Larkin scored 34 off 24.
