Sunrisers Hyderabad stormed to the qualifiers 2 of the 13th edition of IPL after a defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore by six wickets.
The win means SRH will now face Delhi Capitals in the qualifier 2 match against Delhi Capitals in Dubai on November 8.
Kane Williamson hit an unbeaten 50 runs and powered his side to the total of 132 runs with two balls to spare. He also partnered with Jason Holder and combined 65* for the sixth wicket and took the side to yet another qualifiers of the tournament.
It was the Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner who had won the toss and opt to bowl first. Put into bat, RCB were off to a dreadful start after skipper Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal fell off cheaply in powerplay.
Aaron Finch and AB de Villiers revived RCB’s innings by putting up a 41-run stand for the fourth wicket. De Villiers smashed 56 runs off 43 balls including five boundaries.
With his efforts, RCB managed to put up a total of 131/7 at the end of 20 overs. Jason Holder was the pick among the bowlers by taking 3/25 in his spell.
A target of 132 seemed easy for the SRH batsmen before losing the wicket of the opener Shreevats Goswami on a duck. However, the middle order pulled of a sensational win in the end starred by a match-winning knock by Kane Williamson.
He also became the player of the match for his heroics and now SRH will face Delhi Capitals for the qualifiers 2 match on November 8.
