Chennai Super Kings star batsman Suresh Raina on Wednesday hinted on returning to the UAE for the upcoming season of the IPL. Earlier, Raina had pulled out of the season citing “personal reasons” which later turned out to be a rumoured rift over the hotel room.
However, the left-handed batsman denied everything as he clarified that there is nothing wrong between him and skipper MS Dhoni.
In his chat with the Cricbuzz, Raina said that he may return to the UAE as he has no disagreement with the franchise.
“It was a personal decision and I had to come back for my family. There was something that needed to be addressed immediately on the home front. CSK is my family too and Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni) is very important to me and this was a tough decision. There is no issue between CSK and me,” Raina said.
Raina also said that despite being in quarantine he has been training rigorously at home as fans might get a chance to see him play.
“I’ve been training even while quarantining here. You never know you might see me in the camp there again,” the batsman said.
Yesterday, N Srinivasan had told that Raina would miss out on his salary of Rs. 11 crores if he withdraws from this season in the UAE. But now, things seem to get back to normal as the star batsman is planning to stage his comeback.
