England all-rounder Tom Curran is all set to join his younger brother Sam Curran for the inaugural The Hundred. Both the players will be playing for the Oval Invincibles.

Tom plays for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL and also has a decent experience of playing in various leagues globally. Also, Oval is the Curran brothers’ home-ground, and the experience of playing on their ground is sure to come in handy. The team has retained Sam while roping in-home player Tom.

The Oval Invincibles has also retained Georgia Adams, Reecey Topley and Tash Farrant for the inaugural tournament in 2021.

With Farrant on the squad, the side will be expecting a bundle of left-arm bowling experience after his successful show in county cricket.

Georgia Adams is also one of the top-batters in county cricket. With over 500 runs in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy, Adams has proven himself to be a strong player.

England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) will announce the schedule of the tournament in January next year.

Tom Curran said in a statement after making into the Oval Invincibles squad by saying:

“I am thrilled to be playing for Oval Invincibles. I love playing at The Kia Oval and it will be special to play in the first season of The Hundred at my home ground,” Tom said in an official statement.

“I think The Hundred is an incredibly exciting competition and I’m really looking forward to it. We are building a strong squad with a number of local players which I hope will help us be successful next summer,” he added. (ANI)
