Women’s Big Bash League team Adelaide Strikers have signed a new deal with the batsman Bridget Patterson for the next three years.

The 26-year-old batting all-rounder has remained with the Strikers since the first starting seasons and now both the parties have mutually agreed on a long-term deal.

“The Adelaide Strikers have scored a signing coup, with Bridget Patterson to remain in blue for the next three years,” Adelaide Strikers said in a statement.

In fact, Bridget has made the most number of appearances for the side alongside Megan Schutt and Amanda-Jade Wellington with 71 matches.

She was a standout performer for the Strikers in WBBL 5, as she scored 319 runs and also added a 96-run match winning partnership with Suzie Bates against Brisbane Heat.

After signing the final contract, Bridget expressed excitement to be associated with the team for the next three years.

“I love being at the Strikers which is my hometown team so to speak, and we have continued to build something really special here since it all started. I’ve made a lot of memories here and I’m really looking forward to that continuing for the next three years,” the club quoted her saying.

The final schedule of the WBBL 2020 is yet to be released but Cricket Australia has said that the tournament will take begin from October 25.
