The World Test Championship battle continues to get fierce as we anticipate a few contemplating outcomes in the coming weeks. Test cricket is once again down the line after a breathtaking end to the T20I World Cup and we are now witnessing some riveting fixtures between the world-class cricketing nations.

On one hand, it is the most cunning and historic Pakistan vs England series and on the other side, we have the resilient West Indies taking on the mighty Australians. The results of both series will have a deviating impact on the incumbent standings at the World Test Championship.

Though Pakistan had healthy chances of qualification, England has deteriorated their positivity after registering a scintillating win in the first test at Rawalpindi. In a beautiful game of test cricket, all three outcomes were evident on the final day of play after which a record was broken for the most runs in a decisive test match (1,763 runs).

England outplayed Pakistan strategically on Day 5 and encountered a stunning 74-run victory. While Pakistan had dominated the game on most occasions, a marvellous all-round display favoured England to win the game. Pakistan needed 263 runs to win on the final day with 8 wickets in hand but a debacle causing four wickets in eight overs gave the visitors an edge to win.
